SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT MANAGER

The social media and content manager will develop, produce and manage the social media and content strategy for Pet Paradise and NewDay Veterinary Care. In additional to social media management, the social media & content manager will also stay in-the-know on social media marketing best practices to provide strategic guidance on various social media & content initiatives.

Essential Functions of the Social Media & Content Manager include:

• Produce engaging content personalized to reach target customer base and assist in developing quarterly strategies for the company’s social media pages on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Tik Tok
• Produce engaging content to reach social media engagement rate and follower growth KPI's.
• Analyze performance insights of the content calendars monthly and report any needed adjustments/changes to marketing team.
• Create and maintain on Google Drive a library of social media appropriate images and video content from Pet Paradise locations.
• Research and stay up to date with social media trends and competitors to ensure maximum effectiveness on Pet Paradise social media channels.
• Manage and provide career development to the Social Media Coordinator who will be responsible for management of the Communication Associate program
• Collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics.
• Develop insights from organic social media channels and content that helps inform future activities
• Partner with digital marketing team to identify opportunities to improve SEO via content
• Assist with end of month marketing department reporting for social media
• Develop and deploy a customer response strategy that delivers timely and accurate information to questions/comments posted on social media platforms
• Assist with new store social media opening strategy by creating monthly engaging social media content prior to opening.
• Assist with website edits, copy updates and promotional updates to materials
• Create informational and engaging content for Pet Paradise’s Blog

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of social media and content experience with proven success in marketing strategy and execution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in Canva & Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro
• Understanding of social media platforms and trends
• Ideal candidates need to be skilled communicators both written and verbal
• Managerial experience is preferred
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Works well with deadlines and in a team environment
• Must work well in a fast-paced environment
• Must be a self-starter who takes initiative and exhibits a high degree of ownership and resilience

Education/Experience

• BS degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, News Media or relevant field.
• Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels.
• Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
