Pet Paradise is currently searching for a Senior Accountant to join the HQ Team in Jacksonville, Florida. The Senior Accountant is responsible for account reconciliations, Month-End/Year-End Close duties and identifying efficiencies in the AP and close processes. There is potential for this position to be "hybrid," but the ideal candidate must be located near our Jacksonville/San Marco office.

Education/Experience: Three to five years of prior Accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting required
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability: Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles. Proven ability to calculate, post and manage financial figures and financial records. Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. Quickbooks experience is preferred.
