RESORT SUPERVISOR
The Resort Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the resort associates. The Resort Supervisor oversees and assists with the daily care of guests including, but not limited to: feeding, cleaning, exercising, and bathing.

Essential Functions of the Resort Supervisor include:

  • Provide direct supervision of the Resort Associates including supervising, training and coaching Associates based on company standards, policies, and guidelines. The Resort Supervisor will be required to spend at least 80% of scheduled hours in the guest areas of the resort.
  • Provide direct supervision of the Playtime Coordinators, including supervising, training and coaching Coordinators based on company standards, policies, and guidelines. Resort Supervisor supports and guides Coordinators in completion of scheduled playtimes.
  • Clean and maintain the guest areas of the resort in such a manner as to provide an odor-free and low-stress environment.
  • Feed, exercise, and provide daily care for all guests.
  • Report and document (when applicable) to the Resort Manager and/or Resort Assistant Manager any potential hazards or behavioral problems involving guests or employees.
  • Assist Resort Manager in training employees, assign/direct work, reward/discipline employees, and conduct employee performance appraisals.
  • Responsible for assisting new & existing team members in completing their required LMS courses and training guide
  • Emptying trash cans, mopping floors, cleaning of rest rooms, common areas, and employee break room.
  • Perform duties as required by Resort Manager to maintain operation of the resort.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:
A general understanding of Microsoft Office and Windows XP is preferred, but not required.

Certificates and Licenses:
Canine/feline CPR preferred
Valid driver's license

Equipment:
Motor vehicle (applicable if willing to transport guests)

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Resort Associates. Directly supervises 10-20 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

The Resort Supervisor may be exposed to animals that are agitated and/or injured. Animals may scratch and/or bite.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
